meet dehlani
dehlani liotta is a los angeles based trans-femme artist. she is the founder of küper atelier, a design house that started with a jewelry collection and couture fashion. now the atelier houses the artist's oil paintings, and soon a line of genderless lingerie.
dehlani attended both the university of the arts and the fashion institute of design and merchandising for undergrad. after working as an interior designer, she took a break from art and spent a few colorful years in the adult entertainment industry. amidst her challenging transition and tumultuous political/societal issues, she turned back to art as an outlet.
since her youth, her main focus has always been on the human figure. dehlani is currently working on a series ‘more fats, more femmes” that highlights and celebrates an array of different queer and trans bodies. the project is meant to show that there is such unique, profound, beauty in human variation and that every queer body is art, deserving of love and appreciation. this series was first started at the beginning of her transition and will continue to grow as she furthers her journey. a love letter to the queers, if you will.
